About Dinar Facts
Dinar Facts is an independent fact-check of the Iraqi dinar scam: the claim that the dinar is about to “revalue” and make holders rich. We compare what promoters say with what official sources, courts and regulators have actually said and done, and we publish the record so anyone can check it. Start with our Iraqi dinar scam facts and red flags.
Why we fact-check Iraqi dinar scam claims
For more than two decades, people have been told the dinar’s value is about to jump, often “any day now.” Many have spent savings on currency that official rates show is worth a fraction of what they paid. Most people who believe these claims act in good faith, and many have worried family members. This site is for both groups: holders who want the facts, and people trying to help someone they care about.
What we do
- Track public predictions. We record specific, dated claims made in public livestreams and posts, such as those covered in our Frank26 dinar claims checked, and check each one against what actually happened.
- Show the official record. We cite the Central Bank of Iraq, US regulators, court filings and news organizations, and link to them wherever we can.
- Run the numbers. We compare what dinar costs from dealers with its official value, so readers can see the gap for themselves.
How we check claims
- Exact words. We quote each prediction as it was said and note the date it was made.
- Source and timestamp. Every quote lists the livestream or post it came from and the timestamp, so any reader can find and hear it in context.
- A clear test. A prediction is marked “did not happen” only if the event it named, such as a new rate, a date or a public announcement, didn’t occur by the date given or by the time we published, based on official sources.
- Primary sources first. Exchange rates come from the Central Bank of Iraq’s announced rates. Legal outcomes come from court records and government press releases. News reports provide context, not the final word.
- No labels, just the record. We report what was said and what happened. Readers can draw their own conclusions.
